DICE-TB Xpert Plus Panel (Qualitative) by Real-Time PCR
DICE-TB Xpert Plus Panel is a molecular diagnostic test designed for the qualitative detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) complex DNA and assessment of rifampicin resistance-associated markers using real-time PCR. Molecular tests such as Xpert-based assays are recommended as important initial diagnostic tools for TB and rifampicin-resistant TB.

Why is it done?

Sample
Depending on the clinical indication, specimens may include sputum, BAL, tissue, pus, CSF, synovial fluid or other appropriate specimens. The exact specimen requirement should follow the laboratory's test protocol.
Report interpretation
Results are generally reported qualitatively, such as:
- MTB Detected / Not Detected

Rifampicin Resistance Detected / Not Detected / Indeterminate, as applicable to the assay
A positive molecular result should be interpreted along with clinical findings and other laboratory investigations.
