Conventional Identification & Automated AST on VITEK
Test Overview Culture & Sensitivity (C&S) for miscellaneous specimens is performed to detect and identify aerobic bacterial pathogens and determine their antimicrobial susceptibility. Initial processing and organism identification are performed using conventional microbiological methods, followed by automated Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) on VITEK.
