The Culture & Sensitivity (C&S) – Ascitic Fluid test detects aerobic bacterial infections in ascitic (peritoneal) fluid. If bacteria are isolated, Conventional Identification determines the organism, while Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) identifies the most effective antibiotics for treatment.
