Overview
The BK Virus Detection by RT-PCR (Qualitative), Plasma test detects the presence of BK virus (BKV) DNA in plasma using Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). It is primarily used to identify active BK virus infection, especially in kidney transplant recipients and individuals with weakened immune systems.
