The Anti Islet Cell Antibody (ICA) with Titer, Serum test detects autoantibodies directed against the insulin-producing islet cells of the pancreas. It is primarily used to help diagnose Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) and evaluate individuals at risk of developing autoimmune diabetes. The antibody titer provides an estimate of the antibody concentration, which may aid in clinical assessment.
