Purpose:
This test detects IgE antibodies against chili pepper (Capsicum species) to help identify an allergic sensitization. Chili pepper allergy is uncommon but can occur and may cross-react with other Capsicum peppers such as bell pepper or paprika.

When is this test recommended?
