What Does “Healthy Skin” Really Mean?

Dermatologists define healthy skin as skin that functions optimally. This means the skin barrier is intact, hydration levels are balanced, oil production is regulated, and the skin can protect itself from environmental stressors such as pollution, bacteria, and UV radiation.
